Communalism is the only pacifist among the Off-Compasses, and a very kind person. They are, however, willing to do whatever is best for the commune, even if it does require them to kill.
Since the events of Realicide 3, Communalism has turned into Cult Communalism, accepting objective morality as an absolute principle and rejecting all other ideologies as "amoral" and "impure".

The last Off Compass to be introduced and is introduced as the least threatening of them all.
Meet the Off-Compasses[]
Communalism is the only Off Compass that does not actually hate the Realists, they just think that the Realists can be reeducated and then integrated into the commune. After a short cut, they then have dark bags under their eyes and says that they will kill the Realists, if it is necessary for the commune.
Squirrel![]
Communalism enters the room shortly after Ingsoc, however they are more depressed by the dead squirrel than Egoism's misfortune. They also partake in the argument with Darwinism about if it was a good gift. They are the only Off-Compass to care about the squirrel.
Literally 1984(tnite)[]
They don't have a big role and are only seen comforting Grej after he is saddened by the fact that he is not being taken seriously.
Censurists, Antivaxxers, Posties, and Utopians[]
Communalism is sent by Grej in order to recruit the Utopian Collectivist to the Anti-Realist cause but has been beaten to it by the Moralist, who questions the moral stability of Communalism as an ideology. As a result, Communalism realizes that their ideology is inherently flawed and briefly becomes Left-Communism before Moralist is killed by Darwinist. Communalism is visibly disturbed by this, as they were attached to Moralist, and consequently becomes Cult Communalism, partially adopting the late Moralist's philosophy and twisting it unrecognizably into a cultish worldview of seeing all other ideologies as amoral and evil "outsiders". Cult Communalism departs the Anti-Realists, leaving behind a saddened and confused Darwinist.

Communalism is Off the Compass on the Proprietary Axis and the Prioritative Axis, being Hyper Altruity and Hyper Hedonic.

Communalism is Hyper Left on the economic axis, believing that everything literally belongs to everyone at all times.

Communalism is true neutral on the government axis.

Communalism is far left on the cultural axis.
Physical description[]
Always shown wearing their hardhat. Always in a rose-colored worker's outfit and has hearts in their eyes.
As Cult Communalism, they don a large coat and a necklace bearing the communalist symbol, and lose the hearts from their eyes, having lost all love for the rest of the world.
Personality[]
Communalism is very optimistic about everything in their life. They aren't sure if they can help but will give it a go wherever they can. They also really don't want to kill the Realists but can be convinced to do so.
Cult Communalism sees the world as amoral and evil, and therefore impure, valuing objective morality above all else. They see anyone outside of their commune, especially the Anti-Realists, as murderers, calling them "outsiders".
